Flight Training

This is where your journey of turning your flying dreams into reality. 

Pegasus is a lot like other flight schools in that we offer training towards your Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Airline Transport Pilot (Airplane) licenses, as well as your Flight Instructor certificate. We do this in our Cessna (C182J) and Piper (PA-28-151) aircraft. Unlike other flight schools, however, we also offer training towards your Private, Commercial, and Flight Instructor license/certificates in gliders as well using our Grob 109B motorglider. 

Within the soaring community, the Grob109B is classified as a touring motorglider.  It takes off and lands like any other airplane. What makes it unique is that we can intentionally shut the engine down in flight, soar like an eagle, and then restart the engine in-flight for the landing. This aircraft allows you to learn all of the basic tenants of flying an aircraft as well as all of the tenants of soaring all in the same platform. This offers you, the Pegasus student, a unique opportunity in your journey towards the fulfillment of your flying dreams: the opportunity to obtain TWO licenses for less than what MOST flight schools charge for the same level of training in airplanes alone.
